Our Team

Our Class

In our class we aim to foster a love for learning and value the importance of learning through doing. The children are encouraged to explore their talents and celebrate their successes. We follow the Town Field's

3Cs to be calm, careful and considerate. We always try our best and use the Town Field 10 skills to develop as learners.

PE Lessons

Our PE lessons are on Thursdays. Please ensure that your child has a PE kit consisting of a white t-shirt, black or navy shorts and sensible footwear.

Reading

We value the importance of early reading and how reading supports children to thrive in all areas of the curriculum. We ask that pupils bring their reading book and reading diary to school daily. New reading books will be sent home each Friday along with a reading task to support learning that has taken place that week. We ask that you read with your child as much as possible to support their early reading journey. Please remember to sign your child’s reading diary every time they read at home. Please ensure your child brings their book to school on Thursdays so that it can be changed.

We are learning

In literacy this term, we have two key texts. In the first term, we will be reading the book Lost and Foundby Oliver Jeffers. We will be building on our writing skills from foundation and practising writing sentences. Later in the term, we will be learning about Nibbles, who is a book monster and changes what happens in some of our favourite traditional tales! Our class writing will be based around this story. In maths, we will be focusing on anumbers up to 10 and then 20. In science, we will be exploring the seasonal changes of Autumn and exploring everyday materials.
